Weekly Update from Mr. Veit

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Good afternoon! We are very, very excited to welcome all the students back to school on Monday
without the constraints of the cohorts in place. It will be great to have those choosing to come back to school for 4 days per week, and rest assured, we will continue to include, capture, and make relevant those that are working remotely from home as everyone is equally important as we continue to meet head on, and tackle this seemingly never ending challenge!

Ahead of Monday, I would again like to thank everyone for their support and input. As I have said so many times in the last several months, addressing the various, and very personal needs of so many has proven to be a near impossible task, and no one plan has addressed everyone's specific issues, or come without unintended and unavoidable consequences. That being said, we truly appreciate everyone's passionate input and ideas as none of them are wrong or bad as they reflect the specific needs of those offering the ideas for consideration. We, as a district, then have the unenviable task of prioritizing the myriad of needs of the students and you all as parents, and implementing plans that keep safety and education in mind.

I believe we are very prepared for the plan that is in place, and with an attention to safety, and a focus on our students and their needs, we will be successful! I am so proud of our Joyce Kilmer and Milltown family, and I look forward to seeing our children on Monday!

  • Please be sure to let the main office know by March 24th if you'd like your child to return to in-person learning on April 6th.
  • Please be sure to review the entry and exit maps previously shared in preparation for drop off and pick up on Monday.
  • Please be sure to maintain safe, social distance during drop off and pick up.
Have a great weekend!

Be well,
Mr. Veit
